Positioned alongside the train line, this single-fronted heritage home in Brunswick presented both acoustic challenges and the need for increased security. The architectural response is a striking curved roofline built to the boundary not only shields the home but adds a distinct sculptural form. At the front, grand heritage rooms and a sweeping timber staircase preserve the home's original character. A bluestone floor marks the transition between old and new, leading to a spacious, light-filled kitchen and living area that opens to a sun-drenched northern garden. This thoughtful extension balances protection, privacy, and elegance, all while making the most of a uniquely challenging site.
